HCL Sports Director Ken Robinson is the co-founder of the very first Hooters Champions League. Together with Sven Reutter, they have established the premier ice and inline tournament league for champions. Robinson is no stranger to sports management as he currently presides over the largest hockey hobby league in Germany, the DPL (Die Players League). Robinson founded the DPL back in 2004 consisting of only 7 teams. Now 5 years later, the DPL is home to 36 teams in both ice and inline hockey. Robinson is also credited with the establishment of the DPL's Kooperations Partnernership with the Mannheim Adler.

In 2008, Robinson approached Erik Rabers of Hooters Germany to discuss sponsorship and possible partnership with his own hockey team, the Baden Bruins. The Baden Bruins U.S. Army team was looking for financial assistance and immediately thought of the great U.S. based franchise called Hooters. Not only did Robinson and Raber establish a Hooters-Bruins partnership, but furthered the relationship by establishing Hooters as a major partner to the DPL.

Hooters is now an integral member of the DPL family and plays a major role at most DPL events. Having such great success with the Hooters - DPL partnership, Robinson then decided to take a major leap forward by establishing the HCL. Together with Eric Raber and Sven Reutter, they would create a unique tournament style league. This new Hooters Champions League brings with it years of league management experience, Hooters flare, and of course top level hockey. A true partnership was formed and a concept of Hockey, Hooters and Beer was established.

Marcus Weber hilft der Hooters Champions League seit Beginn der Organisation in Sachen Webdesign und System-Administration. Darüber hinaus unterstützt er die HCL in der Entwicklung von Grafiken und speziellen Medien.

Sportlich ist Marcus nach seiner Zeit bei den MERC Amateuren und einer anschließenden vierjährigen Pause Torwart der BadenBruins in der DPL und HCL und wurde in den Saisons 2007/08 sowie 2008/09 zum besten Torwart der DPLiga gewählt.
