HCL II was held on 5 November at the Sparkasse Eissporthalle in Benrath-Dusseldorf. Six teams participated, to include three new teams to the HCL. The competition was fierce as the level was extremely high this tournament. New comers Team ASE were a big suprise as they went undefeated throughout the tournament. Team ASE are comprised of mostly Inline hockey players that play in the first Bundesliga, but got their start playing ice hockey in the upper leagues. They were able to defeat the home team rivals - Eisbrecher Ratingen in overtime to steal the title.
Touranment MVP was Christian Mueller of Team ASE. Top Goalie award went to Tim Koziol of EG Essen
HCL III is planned to be held in Weiden. Final date to be determined.

HCL 2011 Starts in Viernheim |

The Hooters Champions League begins its new season in Viernheim on 2 October at 1000. For the upcoming touranment, we have last year's champions (Eisbrecher Rattingen) and last year's runner-up (Bayern Rangers). To round out the tournament, the Baden Bruins will return again this season to put right what happened season during HCL III in Wieden...
The final two teams will also come from the DPL. You can expect to see at least two or three new teams coming to the tournamnent. New teams bring new challenges and lots of excitement.
The puck drops at 1000. Entrance is free. Trophies for the top three places.
